연세대학교 통일연구원과 태평양세기연구소(PCI)가 연례 협력 프로그램으로 개설한 <William J. Perry Lecture Series>의 제 2회 특별 강연이
오는 10월 16일 오후 4시 연세대학교 신촌캠퍼스 백주년 기념관 콘서트홀에서 진행됩니다.
북한의 지속적인 핵실험 속에 북미갈등으로 인한 한반도의 불확실성이 고조되고 있는 상황에서 북핵위기 해결의 공감대를 만들고자 추진된 이번 행사는
1994년 북핵위기 당시 미국 측 수석대표를 맡았고 미국무부 정치군사업무국의 차관보직을 역임했던 로버트 갈루치(Robert L. Gallucci) 전 미국 북핵대사를
초청해 북한문제 해결을 위해 방위, 억지, 외교 및 동맹에 대한 논의를 진행함으로써 동아시아 평화공존의 방향을 모색하는 자리가 될 것입니다.

<The Second William J. Perry Lecture Series> will be held by Yonsei Institute for North Korean Studies and Pacific Century Institute(PCI) in Yonsei University
100th Anniversary Memorial Hall Concert Hall at October 16th, 4 PM. Under the continuous Nuclear testing from North Korea, the tension between the North and U.S,
is upsurging the uncertainty in Korean Peninsula. In order to resolve such tension, we've had invited Rober L. Gallucci, former U.S. representative ambassador on 1994 North Korea Nuclear Crisis
and the former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs, for solutions in security, restraint, diplomacy, and alliance. Thus we hope that this conference will be the time to discuss
and grope for the East Asian Peaceful Coexistence.
